Dixie Diners' Club - Strip Beef (Not!):
These meat-free, animal-free vegan / vegetarian "beef" strips are a great beef substitute for all your regular recipes. Great for pasta, stir fry, casseroles, burritos, and more! Just boil in broth for 8 minutes, then season and saute. Wonderful, meaty texture!
Cooking Tips:
"How do you cook Dixie Diners' Beef (Not!) Strips?" Follow these tips for great results!
1) Rehydrate Beef (Not!) by covering it with water then...
2) Boil on the stovetop over medium heat for 8 minutes or microwave for 5-8 minutes
3) Drain the Beef (Not!) and press out as much liquid as possible.
4) After pressing out the liquid, let the Beef (Not!) rest in the refrigerator overnight for a meaty texture
OR
5) After pressing out the liquid, saute the Beef (Not!) in oil for a wonderfully tender texture.
6) Enhance the flavor by adding one of our other great vegetarian / vegan seasoning products while rehydrating or cooking.
Each 1 pound bag makes approximately 3.92 lbs or 9 servings of vegan / vegetarian "beef" strips.
